*Ture Bengtz was born in Jomala (Alands) in 1907. At the age of 18, he emigrated to the USA and settled down in Medford, Massachusetts. He studied art and, together with a group of students, he started the Boston Printmakers Association, which came to be a nationally well-known association.
Ture Bengtz died in 1973.
