*The stamp with the theme 125 years of the VVV belongs to the Tourist Series 2010 Jubilee stamps. The stamps were dedicated to five organizations in 2010 to celebrate their anniversary. Besides the VVV that the Royal Tropical Institute, Duinrell, Euromast and Djoser. The stamps are designed by design and communications Smidswater.

Smidswater faced the challenge of designing unique stamps as a logical whole series. Geert de Jong said: "We finally settled on a binding element in all the stamps back: the sky. After all, nature, recreation and tourism almost always assume a short or long journey, which pushes up the horizon, literally and figuratively. An attractive graphic element here is the sun, the different stamps each has a different position. A beacon for young and old, throughout the ages."
