    Additional:

Expo 2017 Astana was an International Exposition which took place from June 10 to September 10, 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan. The expo's theme was "Future Energy".

The general idea of the logotype is based on the extrapolation of the sun, the sunflowers and windmills as symbols and fountain of energy. This forms are recreated by dividing the circle into rounded petals to smoothen the shape. The petals are asymmetrically placed in circular order, insinuating movement and energy. The colours, even though yellow and light blue are predominant, indirectly remind the ones of a rainbow. The logotype expresses in light, artistic and interactive way the idea of “future energy”.

The logo was designed by Madrid graphic designer Fernando Fernandez.
