    It lies some 30 km northeast of Arnhem, on the eastern bank of the river IJssel at the point where it is joined by the Berkel. 

    Municipal Museum Zutphen is one of the most well known and most frequently visited Tourist Attractions in Zutphen. 

    History has it that the city has existed since the Roman times and was acknowledged with city rights in 1190 and this went on to make it one of the oldest medieval cities in the entire Netherlands. The city of Zutphen was voted in 2006 as having the best city center of the Netherlands in the category of small cities. Traveling to Zutphen, you will find that the city center has an unspoilt historic ambience about it which exudes a feeling of travelling back hundreds of years in time. And, Municipal Museum Zutphen is just one of those several places which represent the rich culture and history of the city, the land and its people.
